Sins Of The Fourth Estate (Part II)

Last week I wrote specifically about the pitiful coverage of the Boston marathon terror attacks and the continual denial by the mainstream media of possible Islamic involvement. In a perverse way this dereliction of journalistic duty while reprehensible is understandable because the press lapdogs of this administration do not want to admit that Obama's PC national security policies involving Muslims might have contributed to the Boston attack. We know the media is spineless. However its neglect to report on the Gosnell abortion trial shows that they have lost any moral compass they ever had just to cover up Obama's strong support of the abortion industry.

As the grim details of the Grand Jury finally leak out to the world, (thanks in large part to liberal Kirsten Powers' article in the mainstream USA Today) - President Obama nevertheless chose to address the largest abortion provider in the U.S., Planned Parenthood. To loud applause at the fundraiser he concluded his speech with these incredible words:

"As long as we've got to fight to make sure women have access to quality, affordable health care, and as long as we've got to fight to protect a woman's right to make her own choices about her own health, I want you to know that you've also got a president who's going to be right there with you, fighting every step of the way," said Obama. "Thank you, Planned Parenthood. God bless you."

In case President Obama isn't aware of or just chooses to ignore the salient facts about Planned Parenthood, its primary mission is providing abortions not providing quality, affordable health care. It is a billion dollar industry receiving taxpayer funding. Earlier in the speech, President Obama said; "The fact is, after decades of progress, there's still those who want to turn back the clock to policies more suited to the 1950s than the 21st Century." Does he mean when women were actually safer?

Although Dr. Kermit Gosnell is accused of killing seven babies born alive, he is also being charged with the murder of 41 year old Karnamaya Mongar who died, according to prosecutors, when Gosnell's unqualified staff gave her an overdose of Demerol and other pain killers in 2009. The Grand jury report also named Semika Shaw, the 22-year-old mother of two who died following an abortion procedure at Gosnell's clinic in March 2000.

Over the years these allegations have been swept under the rug while women's lives are endangered by unscrupulous abortion providers like Dr. Gosnell. Ironically his Philadelphia clinic was raided not because of medical malfeasance but was the result of a months-long investigation by the DEA, and a State Drug Unit which suspected illegal drug prescription use at the practice. When the team members entered the clinic, they were appalled, describing it to the Grand Jury as "filthy," "deplorable," "disgusting," "very unsanitary, very outdated, horrendous," and "by far, the worst" that these experienced investigators had ever encountered. Semi-conscious women scheduled for abortions were moaning in the waiting room or the recovery room, where they sat on dirty recliners covered with blood-stained blankets. All the women had been sedated by unlicensed staff.

What a bunch of hypocrites there are in the mainstream media. I've been reading their excuses and apologies for shirking their responsibility in ignoring the trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell. Either details from the Grand Jury trial are "too grisly" or they don't cover "local news" and other such nonsense spew from their barf-inducing tripe masquerading as opinion columns. One pundit had the nerve to suggest that conservatives hadn't covered the story either.

I have been writing about the egregious corruption of these providers since 1998. Former Governor Spitzer, who was elected thanks to the support of NARAL and NOW, immediately went after the crisis pregnancy clinics that offered alternatives to abortion and thus presented a threat to his supporters. I became familiar with Expectant Mothercare in the Bronx in their battle to fight Spitzer's attacks and I also became aware of the horrific statistics of legalized abortion. Besides the death of a baby, nearly 67% of all abortions result in some type of physical complication; many have resulted in total hysterectomies; women have suffered cervical incompetence or had post-operative hemorrhage.

So much of the abortion issue has been a tissue of lies since the battle to legalize abortion began in the early 1970s. Jane Roe's case went to the Supreme Court on a lie. Norma McCorvey aka Jane Roe had never been raped and the statistics given by activists for back alley abortion deaths was magnified dramatically to influence and manipulate a public outcry. Pro choice advocates like Whoopi Goldberg can wave coat hangers at women's rallies but shut a blind eye to the nefarious treatment and deaths of desperate women at so-called women's health clinics,

How did we get to the point where so many people in the media accept the murder of full term babies born alive as a woman's right which must be protected? How do they turn their eyes away from the truth; that they are responsible for covering up the most vicious and evil billion dollar industry funded by taxpayers who abhor abortion?

Read what the ex-abortionist, Bernard Nathanson, one of the founders of NARAL said when he revealed the deceptions, dirty tricks, and other tactics that helped make abortion legal and socially acceptable in the United States:

How did we do this? It is important to understand the tactics involved because these tactics have been used throughout the western world with one permutation or another, in order to change abortion law.

"The First Key Tactic was to capture the media - with lies. The number of women dying from illegal abortions was around 200-250 annually. The figure constantly fed to the media was 10,000.

"The Second Key Tactic was to Play the Catholic Card - We systematically vilified the Catholic Church and its 'socially backward ideas' and picked on the Catholic hierarchy as the villain in opposing abortion.

"The Third Key Tactic was the Denigration and Suppression of all Scientific Evidence that Life Begins at Conception - A favorite pro-abortion tactic is to insist that the definition of when life begins is impossible; that the question is a theological or moral or philosophical one, anything but a scientific one."

President Obama claims to care about women but maybe all he really cares about are their votes. We know that he voted against the Born Alive bill while a State Senator in Illinois. When asked in 2008 at what point a baby gets "human rights," Obama flippantly answered, "... whether you're looking at it from a theological perspective or a scientific perspective, answering that question with specificity ... is above my pay grade."

There is nothing above his pay grade now yet no reporter will dare to ask him that question now.

Dr. Nathanson repented for his sins and spent his last years trying to unveil the truth about the evil of Roe vs. Wade. By shutting their eyes to the Gosnell trial, the media is still wallowing in theirs.
