Are Women Really That Naive About Planned Parenthood?

The pro-life movement makes a huge mistake when it only concentrates on the unborn because frankly many modern women are primarily concerned with themselves in an unexpected pregnancy.

Last month there was a small festival on a street close to my home. I went there to buy used paperback novels sold by a book store on the closed-off block. At the end of the street there was a table set up supporting Planned Parenthood with a sign suggesting that funding for women's health issues was in danger. If it hadn't been for the oppressive heat and the pain in the right knee I so wanted to approach the table and ask, "Are you kidding? Do you know what Planned Parenthood is in business for?" It would, however, have been an exercise in futility because when it comes to abortion, liberal women are clueless and in some cases just plain dumb.

The pro-life movement makes a huge mistake when it only concentrates on the unborn because frankly many modern women are primarily concerned with themselves in an unexpected pregnancy. This self-centeredness is what fuels the abortion industry's success and blinds women to the truth about abortion providers. Women are being maimed and killed by unscrupulous and unmonitored women's clinics and it is only through the efforts of pro-lifers that these dens of horror are closed.

So don't scream to me about the health of women if you haven't bothered to look at what's happening in Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood is the nation's largest provider of abortion and even though it claims that abortion is only 3% of its budget; its own figures show that it's closer to 11%. PP is not allowed to use taxpayer funding for abortion thanks to restrictions from the Hyde Amendment and allegedly uses this funding providing general health care for poor women. However, these services are easily available in other government agencies. In fact there are over 7,000 federally qualified health centers for women. Planned Parenthood spokespersons have admitted that it could survive even if government funding was stopped so why this hysteria about ending it? It's all politics and emotional blackmail demonizing pro-life Republicans for upcoming elections.

How does Planned Parenthood spend its money? Along with other pro-choice groups like NARAL, the abortion lobby spends about $40 million each election to help Democrats. Emily's List is dedicated to electing pro-choice Democratic women and it operates a political action committee, a 527 which runs issue ads and a Super Pac that uses media to support or oppose candidates.

A few months ago in Austin, Texas, President Obama dined with the CEO of Planned Parenthood at a $30,000 a plate event. This is why the Democrats do not want to defund Planned Parenthood. They owe it big time.

Imagine that - $30,000 a plate? We pro-lifers struggle to get $300 a plate for our events. It's disgraceful that the abortion lobby fights to keep disreputable clinics in business regardless of the evidence that women are being harmed by greedy criminals.

The affidavits are readily available for viewing confirming the horror inflicted on the women (infections, adverse drug reactions, uterine perforations, bleeding, STDs, loss of limbs, emergency hysterectomies, injuries and unreported deaths.

The Delta clinic in New Orleans is now under investigation for a history of violations that were covered up by the local board of health. There is a connection with the owner of the clinic with Dr. Kermit Gosnell in Philadelphia who was arrested this year and charged with seven counts of homicide. Gosnell was charged with eight counts of murder for allegedly killing babies born alive and giving a lethal dose of Demerol to a woman. Gosnell in other cases "induced labor, forced the live birth of viable babies in the sixth, seventh, eighth month of pregnancy and then killed those babies by cutting into the back of the neck with scissors and severing their spinal cord," according to Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams.

If the deaths of those innocent babies don't bother you, how about the testimony of women who have suffered from corrupt abortion providers? Robin Reid, who as a 15-year old was sent to Gosnell for an abortion and testified before a grand jury that she planned to tell Gosnell that she didn't want the abortion and was going to sneak out of the clinic. "When I said no, the doctor got upset and he ended up taking my clothes off, hitting me, my legs were tied to the stirrups," Reid said.

In a Florida clinic run by James Pendergraft, Carol Howard was given fifty times the standard dosage of Cyotec, a brand name for the labor-inducing drug misoprostol. When Howard began undergoing violent contractions and asked for pain medication, she was told by medical assistants to walk her labor off outside in the parking lot, or else leave, and according to a pro-life spokesperson, there were reportedly no doctors or nurses present.

In some cases the most disturbing testimonies come from clinic operators or former staff. In a civil court case against Dr. Pendergraft, Randall Whitney, one of Pendergrast's accomplices, "cavalierly stated that yes, babies are delivered in the toilet all the time and many times are still alive, wiggling around in the toilet."

Undercover videos at Planned Parenthood clinics find them providing abortions to minors who are victims of statutory rape yet not reporting it to authorities as required by law. One undercover audiotape made by James O'Keefe, who exposed what was happening in the Acorn offices, revealed that a Planned Parenthood worker accepted a donation over the phone from someone wanting it to go specifically to abort back fetuses. Here's an excerpt from that call;

Ohio donor: There's definitely way too many Black people in Ohio, so I am just trying to do my part.

PP Rep: OK, whatever.

Ohio donor: Well, Blacks especially need abortions, so that's what I'm trying to do.

PP Rep: For whatever reason, we'll accept the money.

The irony is that the name of the organization itself - Planned Parenthood - is a misnomer. PP should be promoting parenthood not advocating the killing of potential babies of potential parents. I wonder how many women shilling for Planned Parenthood know the history of its founder, Margaret Sanger, a eugenicist who inspired the Nazi super race ideal. Her writings decry the birth of mongrel humans and expose her determination to eliminate them from being born.

The "saintly" feminist icon Margaret Sanger was also a racist who appeared at a KKK rally in Silver Lake, NJ to preach her eugenics dogma. Ever wonder why so many Planned Parenthood clinics are based in minority neighborhoods? Since Roe v Wade was passed in 1973, the black community has had 13 million human beings lost to abortion, a number that far exceeds other deaths by violence, accident or illness. Statistics can be found at the website blackgenocide.org.

Abby Johnson worked at Planned Parenthood in Texas for eight years and was a clinic director for two. Her epiphany came when she actually had to witness an abortion and she is exposing the lies behind the billion dollar abortion industry. She urges the defunding of Planned Parenting and in a special to AOL News wrote, "Congress cannot consider itself an effective steward of taxpayer money if it continues to steer hundreds of millions of federal dollars every year to an organization that deliberately deceives the public and breaks the law."

Women need to take their blinders off and recognize the simple fact that abortion's biggest victims are women.
