Tánaiste Announces New Deals For Irish Companies In The U.S.

"The diversity of Irish companies forging deals with U.S. partners and being recognised for their outstanding technology is highly impressive."

Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Mary Coughlan T.D. announced on Tuesday that €3m in new export deals have been secured by a number of Enterprise Ireland client companies client companies in the US.

Irish companies announcing new deals during the Tanaiste's mission to the US this week include:

  • Cubic Telecom, a Cork-based global mobile communications provider who is partnering with Qik, a Redwood City-based free social networking and video blogging service.
  • Documatics, a Cork-based provider of advanced document-management software technology, who sealed a deal to provide its document-management platform to GE Sensing, a major global customer with headquarters in Boston.  In addition, to support its growing US presence, Documatics recently established an office in Los Angeles, Calif.
  • SensorPro, a Limerick-based provider of web-based online survey tools, who sealed a partnership with Redwood City-based StrongMail Systems. StrongMail also launched

    "StrongSurvey", a new online survey tool which is powered by technology from SensorPro.

Speaking in San Francisco, Minister Coughlan said: "With a combined value of €3m these deals reflect the steady growth and success of Irish companies in the U.S. market especially coming on the back the recent trade mission to the East Coast of the US when the Taoiseach announced new sales for Enterprise Ireland client companies of over €100m.

"The diversity of Irish companies forging deals with U.S. partners and being recognised for their outstanding technology is highly impressive.

"From software services to semiconductors and alternative energy, Ireland continues to distinguish itself as a center of innovation excellence.

"I'm delighted to acknowledge the efforts of these companies and their teams. They are tremendous ambassadors of Irish business and I congratulate them on striking these lucrative deals in the U.S. market."
