Chelsea To Face Arsenal Or Hull City In Cup Semi-Finals, United Get Fulham At Home
Arsenal are through to the FA Cup quarter finals, while Everton join Manchester United and Chelsea in the semis.
Everton staged a tremendous fightback at Goodison Park to secure their first FA Cup semi-final place since they last won the trophy in 1995.
David Wheater's header a minute from the break had given Middlesbrough a deserved lead.
But they buckled under second-half pressure as Everton scored twice in six minutes through Marouane Fellaini and substitute Louis Saha.
Arsenal cruised into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup with a comfortable 3-0 win over Championship side Burnley at the Emirates Stadium.
Fine goals from Mexican teenager Carlos Vela and Eduardo either side of half-time and Emmanuel Eboue's late strike set up a home tie against Hull City.
Theo Walcott made his return from four months out with a shoulder problem as Arsenal extended their unbeaten run to 17 matches in all competitions.
On Saturday, Manchester United's march towards a quintuple continued apace at Craven Cottage as Carlos Tevez helped see off Fulham 4-0.
Tevez scored twice before half-time and his double helped explain why Sir Alex Ferguson's men might lift five trophies this term - nine of his 12 goals this season have come in cups.
Wayne Rooney added another just after the break to end any hopes Fulham had of a comeback in a breathless quarter-final, then Ji-sung Park added a fourth before full-time.
Chelsea reached their third FA Cup semi-final in the past four seasons after beating Coventry City 2-0.
Goals from Didier Drogba and Alex emphasised their superiority against the Sky Blues at the Ricoh Arena.
Drogba maintained his renaissance since the appointment of Guus Hiddink by netting his sixth goal of the campaign after 15 minutes.
Then Alex put the match out of Coventry's reach 17 minutes from time after converting a cross from substitute Ricardo Quaresma.
Semi-Final Draw
The draw for the semi-finals of the FA Cup was made, featuring two all-Premier League ties.
Manchester United will face Everton in the FA Cup semi-finals next month.
The other last-four tie will see Chelsea take on the winners of the one remaining quarter-final, Arsenal or Hull City.
Both matches will take place at Wembley, one on 18th April and the other the following day.
The United-Everton tie will be a repeat of the 1995 final in which the Toffees recorded a shock 1-0 win thanks to a Paul Rideout goal.
However, they have beaten United just once since that match 14 years ago.
Chelsea will now face Premier League opponents for the first time in this season's competition.
An encounter with London rivals Arsenal would be a repeat of the 2002 final which the Gunners won 2-0.
Arsenal must first get past Hull in a match which will be played on 17th or 18th March.
