Celtic Held To A Draw By The Terrors

Samaras scores the second of his two goals (SNS)

The 1,500-strong band of Arabs were delighted by their team's performance on Saturday, when Dundee United came back from a 2-goal deficit to secure a 2-2 draw at Parkhead and allow Rangers to creep back within five points of the top spot in the Scottish Premier League.

Georgios Samaras put Celtic in the lead in the 12th minute when Dundee United captain failed to clear a ball on the left which was picked up by Scott Brown who pulled it back for Samaras to shoot it low into the goal.

Nakamura and Robson had good chances to extend the lead before the interval but it wasn't until 13 minutes into the second half when Samaras headed Celtic's second past United's 'keeper Lukasz Zaluska.

United responded immediately though, taking advantage of a free kick awarded when Morgaro Gomis was fouled on the edge of the box by McManus, with Paul Dixon scoring an excellent goal.

Celtic almost went ahead after Zaluska was unable to gather up a McDonald cross, but Dixon was again the hero clearing a shot by Scott Brown.

With just 13 minutes left, Warren Feeney scored United's equalizer with a fine strike past Boruc.
