Guitar Legend, Seamus Kelleher, Performs '40 Years in Music'

Seamus Kelleher will celebrate 40 years in the music business at Ulysses
Seamus Kelleher, the legendary guitar player from Galway, will celebrate 40 years in the music business with a special performance on Sunday, October 26 at Ulysses, located at 58 Stone Street in lower Manhattan.
Kelleher will be joined by an all-star band featuring bass wizard Andrew Harkins, keyboardist and singer extraordinaire Bugsy Moran, and Larry Eagle, the drummer and percussionist from Bruce Springsteen's Seeger Sessions band.
Kelleher arrived in the US in 1975 with the band Rock and Roll Circus after making a name for himself performing throughout Ireland with various rock groups.
Quickly though, he realized America was where he needed to be to pursue his musical ambitions.
Since then he has toured throughout the US and Europe.
Kelleher has been performing with Philadelphia-based, Blackthorn, for the past 12 years playing over 1,200 shows and recording three original albums.
Last year, Kelleher went to Nashville to record his first solo album, Four Cups of Coffee, which launched to critical praise throughout the Irish press.
"I'm very proud of the albums I did with Blackthorn and all the other artists I've worked on over the years, but going to Nashville and recording my own music with some of the best musicians in the world was an extraordinary experience," says Kelleher.
Kelleher's show at Ulysses will feature music from Four Cups of Coffee along with a selection of songs which have influenced his songwriting and playing over the past 40 years.
Kelleher cites the late Rory Gallagher, the great Irish guitarist, as his primary influence, and will be performing many of Rory's songs during the show.
The show at Ulysses starts at 7 pm sharp. There is a $10 admission which gets you a free drink in addition to what promises to be a great night of music.
