Sunderland 1 Arsenal 1
At the Stadium of Light on Saturday Arsenal were lucky to escape defeat as Cesc Fabregas' 93rd-minute header salvaged a 1-1 draw. The Gunners have now dropped five points in two matches. Arsene Wenger's men appeared to have been beaten by Grant Leadbitter's 86th-minute goal but Fabregas earned a point with a close-range header from a corner in the third minute of added time.

Wes Brown and Wayne Rooney scored as United recorded back-to-back league wins for the first time this season. Rovers goalkeeper Jason Brown felt he was blocked off by Nemanja Vidic when Brown nodded home Rooney's first-half cross. But there was no debating the second as Rooney clinically applied the first-time finish to Cristiano Ronaldo's cut-back.
Wigan Athletic 0 Middlesbrough 1
Former Arsenal striker Jeremie Aliadiere snatched victory for Middlesbrough at Wigan with a goal in the 89th minute. A game of very few chances appeared to be drifting to a goalless conclusion when Stewart Downing nodded down a cross on the edge of the penalty area and the Frenchman fired home.
West Bromwich Albion 1 Fulham 0
West Brom's match at home to Fulham was a game of few chances but the hosts prevailed 1-0 thanks to Roman Bednar's goal in the 61st minute. A corner produced a scramble in the visitors' penalty area and when the ball reached Bednar he stabbed home from three yards.

Stephen Ireland and Javier Garrido were both on target as Mark Hughes' side took early control. But Torres sparked a Reds revival by pulling one back on 55 minutes and then City's Pablo Zabaleta was sent off. Torres added a second to level things up 17 minutes from the end before Dirk Kuyt rammed the ball home from close range in stoppage time to cap a great fightback.
Chelsea 2 Aston Villa 0
Chelsea comfortably saw off Villa at Stamford Bridge. First-half goals from Joe Cole and Nicolas Anelka kept Scolari's men at the top of the Premier League, and it could have been more but for Villa 'keeper Brad Friedel.
Tottenham Hotspur 0 Hull City 1
The band aid on the bursting dam that is Spurs flopped to a 1-0 home defeat by Hull as the pressure on boss Juande Ramos grew. A first-half free-kick from Brazilian Geovanni did the damage to continue City's brilliant arrival in the top flight for the first time in their history.
West Ham United 1 Bolton Wanderers 3
At Upton Park, a howler from 'keeper Robert Green helped the Trotters take all three points. Green dropped a high ball at the feet of Kevin Davies after 30 minutes and the Trotters hitman made no mistake. Soon after, wet conditions again played their part as Green failed to hold Gretar Steinsson's shot and Gary Cahill scored the rebound. Carlton Cole gave the Hammers a lifeline on the hour but substitute Matthew Taylor made sure of victory win with a 30-yard free-kick four minutes from time.
Everton 2 Newcastle United 2
At Goodison, Newcastle came back from two goals down to earn a welcome point. Mikel Arteta's penalty and Marouane Fellaini's first for the club had the Toffees cruising. But Steven Taylor pulled one back a minute from the break with a header and then made the equalizer for Damien Duff a minute into the second period.
Portsmouth 2 Stoke City 1
At Fratton Park, Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch scored as Harry Redknapp's men saw off a test from Stoke to win 2-1. Pompey went ahead through Crouch's 25th-minute overhead volley. Stoke scrambled an equalizer from former Pompey striker Ricardo Fuller three minutes after the break but Defoe restored his side's lead two minutes later.
