Pavilions, Swords one of north Dublin's most exciting retail destinations, opened its doors to the public with two new retailers, Tommy Hilfiger and The Carphone Warehouse last week.
Tommy Hilfiger (the well known US lifestyle brand) will trade from a 3197 sq ft store and offer a full range of men's and women's clothing. This will be Tommy Hilfiger's fourth Dublin store.
The Carphone Warehouse will occupy a space totalling 1307 sq ft and was officially opened by local T.D., Trevor Sargent.
Both stores are located in Phase II of the centre, which already includes a number of high profile tenants such as Zara, Du Pareil au Meme and The Body Shop.
Commenting on the new tenants, Ian Hunter, Centre Director, Pavilions, Swords said: "We are delighted to welcome both Tommy Hilfiger and The Carphone Warehouse to Phase II of the centre. The stores join a host of fantastic new retailers and will add to the exciting new tenant mix at the centre. Pavilions, Swords currently attracts over 200,000 visitors each week and has become one of north Dublin's strongest shopping destinations."
Acquired by Chartered Land in 2006, Pavilions, Swords is strategically located adjacent to the M1 at Swords.
It comprises over 95 retail units and is anchored by Dunnes Stores and Superquinn.
Phase II includes a variety of well known international brands such as Diesel, Esprit and Bertoni in addition to LA Lanidor, Hughes & Hughes, Champion Sports, Bernard John Jewellers, Pulse and Butlers Chocolate Café.
Yo Sushi has also opened its second Irish store at the centre. Pavilions, Swords is conveniently connected to the 5,000 sq m Penneys store in the Swords Central development as well as the Main Street of Swords.
The centre's expansion began in 2006 with the opening of one of Dublin's most impressive cinema complexes. The 11-screen Movies@Swords cinema has transformed the centre into an increasingly popular evening destination for the region.
Pavilions, Swords was recently named as one of Ireland's leading shopping centres in the 2008 Retail Excellence Ireland Annual Shopping Centre Productivity Review.
The review, which examines the measurement of shopping centre productivity from the perspective of tenants, named Swords Pavilions as one of the top two shopping centres in Ireland in recognition of a number of key factors including a favourable rent investment comparable to current footfall levels being achieved by the centre.
In addition, Pavilions, Swords was rated highly in terms of moderate service charges comparable to footfall levels and the tenants' views that centre management is proactively managing and marketing the centre in a cost-efficient manner.
