On Thursday afternoon, John Fitzpatrick, CEO of the Fitzpatrick Hotel Group, North America was joined by the Taoiseach of Ireland Brian Cowen to perform a "Cut the Ribbon" ceremony in celebration of The Fitzpatrick Manhattan Hotel's refurbishments to the lobby and bar areas.
Traditional elements have been added, such as wood paneling and wall sconces.
The carpet and the upholstery are now full of vibrant colors that add to the richer tones of the wood cabinetry and furniture.
The hotel traditional lobby style "front desk" has now been replaced with two personal wood desks to serve as the reception area.
The hotel's new bar, The Fitz, has been decorated with elegant touches of wood, leather and mirrors.
Behind the bar, dark wooden shelves scale the walls to cradle each bottle within an individual back-lit nook.
The renovation of the Fitzpatrick Manhattan, has added a new mix of glamour and sophistication, as well as a heightened guest experience, from the seated check-in to the fireside tables in the library and cocktail lounge.
