The Gunners Go Top After Win At Reebok
Reds And Blues All Square At Old Trafford
Sunderland 2 Middlesbrough 0
Sub Michael Chopra scored two late goals to give Sunderland a 2-0 victory over 'Boro in a frantic derby at the Stadium of Light. The game was goalless for 81 minutes before Chopra broke the deadlock, slotting home past Boro goalkeeper Ross Turnbull. Chopra had come on late in the first half to replace Teemu Tainio, who had gone off with a shoulder injury. Chopra completed the win for the home side two minutes into injury time when he tapped home from Steed Malbranque.
Liverpool 0 Stoke City 0
Steven Gerrard thought he had scored his 100th goal for the club after two minutes but his free-kick was ruled offside. Fernando Torres also spurned a golden opportunity to give the hosts the lead just after the hour when he saw his shot from 12 yards blocked by Leon Cort.
West Ham United 3 Newcastle United 1
New boss Gianfranco Zola included compatriot David di Michele in the starting line-up and he rewarded his countryman by bagging two goals. Di Michele almost grabbed his hat-trick eight minutes after the break but his strike fell into the path of Matthew Etherington who tapped home from five yards to score his first goal since November 2007. Newcastle grabbed a consolation 13 minutes later through Michael Owen.
Blackburn Rovers 1 Fulham 0
Blackburn manager Paul Ince had Matt Derbyshire to thank for helping his side secure their first league win in four attempts with the only goal of the game against Fulham. The England Under-21 striker tapped in with six minutes to go from close range from a Roque Santa Cruz knockdown.
Bolton Wanderers 1 Arsenal 3
In Saturday's late game at the Reebok, goals from Emmanuel Eboue, Nicklas Bendtner and Denilson saw Arsenal go top of the Premier League. The Gunners though had to work hard for their victory with Kevin Davies having made an early breakthrough for the Trotters.
West Bromwich ALbion 1 Aston Villa 2
In Sunday's early game, John Carew scored once but could have finished with a hat-trick after twice being denied by the woodwork. Carew and Gabriel Agbonlahor struck twice in the space of 90 seconds during the first half and the Baggies could only muster a James Morrison goal in reply after a Brad Friedel error.
Chelsea 1Manchester United 1
At Stamford Bridge, later on Sunday, sub Salomon Kalou headed home 10 minutes from the end to preserve Chelsea's home league record and earn a 1-1 draw against United. Ji-Sung Park had put the Reds in front during an before half-time. But Chelsea dominated after the interval and Kalou earned a share of the spoils for Luiz Felipe Scolari's men.

At Eastlands, City's players put on a great display in front of their new chairman to hammer Portsmouth 6-0. With Khaldoon Al Mubarak watching, Jo, Richard Dunne, Robinho, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Ched Evans and Gelson Fernandes scored.
Tottenham Hotspur 0 Wigan Athletic 0
Luckless and abysmal, Tottenham are still looking for their first win of the season to climb off the bottom of the table after a goalless draw at home to Wigan. Boos rang out at the final whistle as Spurs flopped again in what was already their worst start to a campaign for 34 years.
Hull City 2 Everton 2
At the KC Stadium, Tim Cahill and Leon Osman struck as Everton came back from 2-0 down to grab a 2-2 draw against Hull. The hosts went 2-0 up through Michael Turner and a Phil Neville own goal. But Everton finished the stronger and were awarded a goal when Cahill's shot bounced down off the bar on 73 minutes - and Osman leveled five minutes later.
