McGimpsey Commends Emergency Services

Health and Public Safety Minister, Michael McGimpsey has paid tribute to the emergency services for their efforts over the weekend to help people during and after the flooding across the North.
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service answered more than 1,100 calls on Saturday and firefighters rescued a number of people.
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service also dealt with the situation, and was able to carry out its vital work despite the adverse conditions.
The minister said: "I would like to pay tribute to the efforts of the many emergency services staff who worked so hard in dealing with the flooding.
He added: "I would like to thank each of you, on behalf of the government, my department and the local community, for the job which you carry out each day."
