YES!!! Ireland Votes 'No'

Congratulations to the Irish people for last week throwing a spanner into the ever-expanding European superstate.

For a variety of reasons and from a diverse set of backgrounds, the voters who chose 'No' last Thursday, while accepting that Ireland has and will continue to benefit from its membership of the European Union, have sent a message to the back-room bureaucrats and all those who threatened them with dire consequences.

After the result was announced the mandarins in Brussels seemed shocked. Expressions of disgust quickly were expressed, with many saying that it was ridiculous that a small state could derail the "European Project."

But just maybe, if others were allowed to vote, they'd say 'No' too!
