Roy Hodgson's side fare now ive points adrift of safety.
Middlesbrough 0 Bolton Wanderers 1

Wigan Athletic 1 Tottenham Hotspur 1
At the JJB, Dimitar Berbatov had broken the deadlock in the sixth minute when Aaron Lennon crossed for the Bulgaria international to slide the ball home from close range. Alan Curbishley's side had opened the scoring in the 20th minute when Bobby Zamora headed a George McCartney free-kick past a stranded Roy Carroll. Tyrone Mears equalized in the 65th minute when he was sent clear by Hossam Ghaly and dispatched the ball past goalkeeper Robert Green.
