Red Hurley To Feature On PBS

Red Hurley is considered to have one of the best voices to come out of Ireland and is a prolific hit maker, racking up fifteen No. 1 hit singles and eight No. 1 albums in Ireland.  His powerful voice, relaxed charm, and energetic stage shows have captured audiences all over Europe.

Now, US audiences have the opportunity to discover this amazing talent with the premiere of Red Hurley's first U.S. public television special, "Red Hurley: Raised on Songs and Stories".

The special will premiere on WLIW21 New York Public Television on Saturday, January 12th, and WLIW will distribute the special to public television stations nationwide in March.

The DVD will only be available during the airing of the show and not released to the public until March on the SonyBMG record label.

During the performance, taped at the historic Olympia Theater in Dublin, Red shares a collection of moving songs including "Immigrant Eyes," a ballad about a grandfather's immigration to America;

"Kilkelly Ireland," revealing the strength of a family's love through 150-year-old letters discovered recently in a Boston attic; and a breathtaking performance of the inspirational anthem "I Will Sing."

With inspiring melodies and lyrics, "Red Hurley: Raised on Songs and Stories" will touch emotional chords for viewers of all ages. As 2008 progresses, Red will continue to entertain his large fan base around the world through his live shows and media appearances.
