Spurs Waste Half-Time Lead Over Blues

United And Chelsea Set For Sixth Round Replays

Middlesbrough 2 Manchester United 2

In Saturday's only FA Cup game United's second Treble dream survives as their quarter-final clash with Boro at the Riverside ended 2-2. In front following Wayne Rooney's strike midway through the first half, United found themselves behind as Lee Cattermole and George Boateng found the net either side of the interval. But, just as on their last visit to Teesside, Ferguson's men were given a penalty when referee Rob Styles ruled Boateng had handled Rio Ferdinand's flick-on. That allowed Cristiano Ronaldo to drill home his 17th goal of the campaign and earn an Old Trafford replay next Monday.

FA Cup Draw

Man Utd and Chelsea could be set for the FA Cup final at the new Wembley Stadium after being kept apart in the semi-final draw. Both teams must overcome tricky replays before confirming their place in the last four, with Chelsea meeting Tottenham at White Hart Lane and United facing Middlesbrough at home. Blackburn will play the winner of Chelsea against Spurs and the top flight's bottom club Watford have been drawn against United or Boro. The ties will be played on the weekend of April 14 and 15.

Draw for the FA Cup semi-finals:
Blackburn v Chelsea or Tottenham
Watford v Middlesbrough or Manchester United
Ties will be played the weekend of 14 and 15 April 2007

Chelsea 3 Tottenham Hotspur 3

In Sunday' first FA cup tie Chelsea foughtback to draw a six-goal thriller with Tottenham at Stamford Bridge. The Blues found themselves trailing 3-1 at half-time - Dimitar Berbatov had put Spurs ahead in the fifth minute but Lampard leveled 17 minutes later. An own goal from Michael Essien restored Tottenham's lead and Hossam Ghaly added a third in the 36th minute. But second-half goals from Lampard and Kalou capped a remarkable comeback to leave Spurs shattered.

Blackburn Rovers 2 Manchester City 0

Ten-man Blackburn clinched a place in semi-finals as they beat City 2-0 to heap more pressure on Stuart Pearce. Aaron Mokoena pointed Blackburn to the semi-finals with his first goal for the club before being sent off, while Matt Derbyshire added a second as the clock ticked down to seal the victory.

Plymouth Argyle 0 Watford 1

Hameur Bouazza grabbed the only goal at Home Park to send Watford into the semi-finals at the expense of Plymouth. Bouazza scored for the Hornets in the 22nd minute from a corner, although they had to hold on as Ian Holloway's men surged forward.
